I'm Anna, and I'm on a journey.
After five years in architecture, I realised what I loved most wasn't the buildings or the aesthetics. It was the challenges. I loved working within constraints. Every client, brief and location became a puzzle to solve. My tools were building codes, materials and construction methods, all coming together to create something that made sense in context.
But over time, I found myself questioning who we were really designing for. Architectural design often felt too subjective. I missed the certainty that comes from insight, from knowing your choices are grounded in something more than opinion.
That's where I found UX.
In UX, everything starts with people. Design becomes iterative, responsive, and rooted in real needs. It's not about designing from a pedestal. It's about being in the weeds with the problem, testing, listening, and improving. That shift in mindset is what drew me in.
Architecture taught me how to design with structure and intent. UX showed me how to design with empathy.
What about me as a person?
I'm an ENFJ which means I’m warm, people-focused, and probably the one organising the group craft night. I love film photography, niche cooking utensils, and giving things a go just for the fun of it. Whether it's surfing or learning to laminate croissant dough, I like diving into things that take me out of my comfort zone.
What excites me most about this next chapter is how much there is to learn. I’ve always believed the best ideas come from people’s experiences and the world around us. Design, at its best, reflects that. It helps us understand, adapt and move forward together.
Whether I’m designing an experience or exploring a new one, I’m guided by a simple belief:
We shape the world by listening deeply and learning always.
